HKIOTA is happy to co-organise a panel discussion with The Hong Kong PropTech Association (HKPTA) on May 21, about Smart Construction, Sustainable Building Management, and more. We are honored to have Dr. Calvin Kam of Strategic Building Innovation, Mr. Yan-Shun Li of China Telecom Global, and two members of our co-organizer HKPTA, Mr. Arthur Lam of Negawatt and Ir Zack Lu of Varadise, join us to discuss some real-world examples and the trends to come.

About the Speakers:
Dr. Calvin Kam
Dr. Calvin Kam is the Founder/CEO of multiple companies, namely, Strategic Building Innovation, bimSCORE, BIM Supporters Group, and PlanMeetDone.com. Calvin is not only a licensed architect and an engineer in the US, but he is also an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University’s Center for Integrated Facility Engineering (CIFE), where he specializes in technical advancement.
Dr. Kam is an overseas BIM consultant for the Singapore government’s Building Construction Authority. He has also delivered keynote and plenary speeches in more than 20 countries and has authored several book chapters, journal articles, and conference papers.
Mr. Arthur Lam
Arthur is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Negawatt, an AIoT proptech startup that specializes in environmental resources and building digitization. He was the Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of Synergy Group, a firm specialising in Energy Management Contracts for companies across APAC and Africa, as a serial capitalist of property technology with an emphasis on sustainability. Arthur is also the founder of Unisuites HK, a co-living startup in Hong Kong that caters to college students. Arthur is a licensed Energy Manager and Carbon Auditor Professional with a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Notre Dame.
Mr. Yan-Shun Li
Mr. Yan-Shun Li, Deputy Director of China Telecom Global’s Overseas Mobility Business Department, has over 15 years of experience in a variety of capacities, including product and business growth. Mr. Li runs the B2B/B2C division of China Telecom Global’s Hong Kong MVNO and heads the company’s international IOT business.
Ir. Zack Lu
Ir. Zack Lu is the Chief Business Officer of Varadise, which creates next-generation Digital Twins as BIM CDEs for the Construction Industry and drives digital project execution in a streamlined manner, while offering digital and creative solution advisory services to help accelerate corporate change in a variety of industries.
